NetNewsWire 2.1b33

Hot on the heels of NetNewsWire 2.1b32, Newsgator has released NetNewsWire 2.1b33 which crushes some syncing bugs, and some combine view bugs. It also fixes a problem where the demo would think that the trial period had expired (even when it hadn't).

If you're a fan of NetNewsWire and beta software, go give it a whirl.

I'm wondering, is there a freeware newsreader that allows you to see if comments have been added to a blog article?

I know there are feeds that run off the comments for a site, which are great, but often blogs just have a feed for the main site. And in all the newsreader apps I have come across don't display even the number of comments on a article, let alone what the comments actually say.

Is there one out there that does this? It's just with my fav blogs I am more interested in the discussions going on than just the articles posted.

NetNewswire sucks. Why use it if you can get all the features for free in Shrook. Also, NewsMac Pro has a much slicker interface and more features than NetNewswire, though it ain't free, but worth it.

I've been hearing several great things about Newsfire. I don't own a Mac so I've been researching my options when/if I switch.

I use NetNewsWire (the full version) and I think it is superior to Feed Demon, plus it is also owned by Newsgator so all your feeds should sync.

What rss reader do you personally use? Ive been meaning to write an article about an application that's equivalent to feed demon on the windows side but am stumped as to what rss reader is a suitable replacement.
