David Fincher talks Final Cut Pro

David Fincher, the director of such movies as Fight Club and Panic Room, is using Final Cut Studio to edit his latest film, Zodiac. Apple has posted a very nice video profile about Fincher's use of FCP; if you are even vaguely interested in video editing you should check it out.

I have a Mac-Mini and recently purchased Final Cut Express to edit HD video from my Sony HC1. I then had to get the new iLife 06 for the new iDVD. So are its been a disaster trying to get the seemingly large HD files converted to make a DVD longer than 8 minutes. Any one with a suggestion to improve?

I really enjoyed watching that.
That was great. I love listening to directors and post production people talk about what they do. I'm also a personal fan of David Fincher because of his excellent Job with Fight Club. This video was very inspiring to me as I hope to be a post production editor in the big-time someday. Gotta get over the college hurdle first, though. ;)
