Broomfield, CO Apple Store opening this weekend, too
I think it's safe to declare today as "Apple Store News Day." First Toronto's on the map, then Zürich and now a store I've been
waiting for: Flatiron Crossing Mall in
Broomfield, CO. I just received the email from Apple about the grand opening, the prizes, the glitz and glamor...
The store's grand opening is happening this weekend, May 6th at 10:00 am. T-shirts will be given to the first 1000 (geeks) through the door, and that "Digital Lifestyle Collection" sweepstakes is going on as well. The prizes are the same as the ones in the Toronto store that Dave mentioned: an iMac, an iPod nano, a Canon digital camera, a Sony Handycam CCD-TRV138, and an HP inkjet printer.
I'm going to try and make the opening myself, but I'll need to recruit a fellow Mac geek with a car. If you make it to the opening, send us a link with some pics or a report. Enjoy!

Katrina killed the chance for my old hometown, New Orleans, to get an Apple Store (I think N.O. was noted as one of the larger metro areas to *not* have one on some site) but here's hoping Little Rock (my new hometown) gets a population boost and an Apple Store. (Closest one is, I think, in Dallas, about a five hour drive.)

Over at The Apple Blog, I've set up an Upcoming.org event for the opening. I'll be there, and hopefully some of the other writers as well. It would be kick-ass to meet up with some of the TUAW bloggers at the opening. And David, I have a car.

ANOTHER APPLE STORE opening IN FREHOLD NJ. It is still under construction. In the freehold mall. I was there like 3 months ago so it should be done soon. I love the way apple is building stores everywhwere THIS IS AWSOME.

Sweet, that's 2 miles from my work. Although I probably won't be there for teh opening, I will swing by there the next time I'm at the office. Mostly work from home.

I will definitely make it to the Flatirons store opening! I'd like to share pics but doesn't Apple have a no photo policy inside their stores? They do in Cherry Creek Mall. I wonder if they'll make any exceptions. Yipeee!
