Another day, another beta of NetNewsWire hits the streets. The latest beta brings with it a French localization, as well as NewsGator...

is there any editor of TUAW connected to NetNewsWire?
Otherwise I really cantt understand such an amount of "news" about this app
No need to feel insulted Scott it was merely a question. Obviously I'm not the only one here with the views I expressed about the number of NNW posts, It's not a particularly big deal and it's your site so you can do what you want with it, and as I mentioned before I am a user and fan of NNW. The only thing being suggested here is that there seems a large percentage of posts regarding minor updates/bug fixes dedicated to one particular application which happens to be in beta. Also I'm a fan and regular reader of your site so please don't feel too insulted. : )
Tom, no one at TUAW is 'in cahoots' with Brett, and frankly I'm insulted at the suggestion. I happen to use NNW more than any other app on my Mac, so the updates are important to me. That's all there is to it.

May 03 2006 at 10:21 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI'd just thought the same when I came across yet another post regarding a NNW update. Really, that's what sites such as VersionTracker are for. They are there to keep us informed of all new and updated apps that are available. I understand you informing us of major updates to OS X apps but to keep posting on small additions or bug fixes for a a beta product is really unneccessary. I mean I use and like NNW but I don't come here to see a post for every single time it is updated. And why single NNW out for every update? Why don't you let us know of every other app that gets updated? (answer: because VersionTracker does that). I enjoy this site but these posts are getting a little too much. Are you in cahoots with Brett?
May 03 2006 at 10:19 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyNot sure about the number of times you post about Net Newswire but I'd like to add my two cents and say THANKS. I am a new Mac user and I would not be able to take advantage of stuff like this without TUAW and other similar blogs letting me know what's available out there for macs.
So keep plugging away, some of us newbies enjoy it.
Everybody just take a deep breath, and do what I do when I come across a post on a blog I'm not interested in: skip the post. Really, it is ok!
May 03 2006 at 7:36 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI love TUAW, and I love all the news it provides.
But after you posted the 20th post about a beta NetNewsWire, it's begining to get extremely annoying.
Another day, another post about NetNewsWire.
Really, its getting a lil bit ott
That must be the fourth thousand post about 'Net Newswire' on this site??
