Widget Watch: Album Art Widget

When I first saw Liquidx's Album Art Widget, I thought, "I don't want to have to jump to the Dashboard just to view album art." However, this widget does much more than that.

It does display the album art of the currently playing track, and will retrieve artwork for songs that don't have any (adding this found artwork to iTunes is easy). You can also change the ratings of songs, flip the widget over to view a list of other songs on the currently selected album and use it to control iTunes. Lastly, it will let you jump to the current song's home in iTunes or Amazon.

If you want to add really good quality album artwork to your music collection, try using Menuet. The main function of this program is to be used as an itunes controller (menu bar style), but the best thing is, it gets the album artwork from iTMS so the quality is really good and the resolutions are quite large.... Perfect for any Front Row users!

Anyways, that's just my two bobs worth!

I have been using this plugin for quite sometime and I really like it. The reason I picked it up was to make adding album artwork into iTunes easier and it does a great job of it.

Liquidx widget ftw!

The sophiestication one looks nice, but what's the point of Amazon art if it doesnt apply the art to the song? I don't think either of them look better compared.

That thing is fugly!!

If you want an album art widget, download Sophiestication' "Album Art" Widget(hence the name).
It's much more simple, and definetively has a nicer look. You can rate song and show artwork for those songs that do not have (Although it can't paste it to the songs)

Just watch out- sometimes when you assign album art to an entire album the widget will assign it to every album with a similar name (eg "greatest hits").
