Apple Store Down

First the UK Apple Store and now the U.S. Apple Store is down.
Place your bets: MacBooks or just another promotional advert in the side column?

Here's to hoping it's something nobody's even speculated on, yet...
(Though, on second thought, it's probably just something stupid like a $10 iSight price drop. Ah, well. Here's to hoping, anyway...)

my guess: red iPod for U2 singer Bono and his campaign "RED".

Most people predict that a 13.3" MacBook for $999 will replace the 12" iBook and Powerbook as well as the 14" iBook.
But if the Macbook will be $999 and the cheapest Macbook Pro $1999 then that would leave a big hole in the $1500 range.

I'd but a good bit of money on it being a 'Red' iPod.
Bono is hitting the UK hard today with a 'red' themed
newspaper (The Independent) that he's editing and half the proceeds go to fighting aids in Africa.
So.. as he was overheard in a cafe or something chatting about a RED iPod (many moons ago)I'll bet this'll be the theme.
Seems to low key for Macbooks and I'm not convinced the new store will be the place of unveiling either.
Doesn't seem right...
Oh well time will tell!!

I am going with what #3 said "something nobody's even speculated on, yet".
That would be so cool to get a giant surprises and something from left field.

The hour of reckoning is upon us! Repent your vile PC philandery! Take up the sword of Woz! Play Segway polo! Buy that silly colored computer and shy away from the false gray desktop computing idols!
OK, I'm done now. I'm really sorry about that. I don't know what came over me. Wow. Just wow. I actually just removed a 900Mhz Hewlett-Packard tower that I hadn't used in well over a year and a half from my desk, and replaced it with my MBP. VV007!
Cheers,
Lumpy
