No, Apple hasn't released an iPod designed exclusively for giants: an Ohio-based company that runs a local entertainment magazine and website has created a functioning, 25ft tall iPod shaped billboard. The gigantic iPod, which is based on the design of the 5th generation iPod, is set up to play music submitted to an online jukebox by local musicians. Ironically, the music is actually routed through the smallest type of iPod you can buy: an iPod shuffle. You can view its interactive playlist here.As for it being the largest iPod in the world, we've got to ask, is it viewable from space?

Well, I hope they've worked some licensing deal out with Apple. I'd hate to see these guys get sued.
But, admit it, Apple would do such a thing.

LOL! Oh my gosh. I took a picture of that thing a few days ago! I work right down the street from that thing. I remember walking to lunch (Zuppa), I looked to the right, and BAM! I saw that huge iPod. I took a picture of it with my phone :)

i just drove by that a couple hours ago. i was at a light, on my way home, and looked to my right, "HEY! a giant iPod!" what's funny is that a few months ago, just a block away from this, was a MINI ad which had a Cooper stuck to the side of a building in a giant slingshot.

The company that put the ad together is Orange Barrel Media. They've been doing quite a few jumbo ad/art installations like this around downtown Columbus for the past year or two. Here's a link to their site where they have pictures of some of their other ads/projects.

The two coolest ones aside from the iPod was the Mini Cooper (which is no longer up) mounted sideways in a slingshot, and a giant soccer ball imbedded in the side of a new condo building advertising the Columbus Crew soccer team.
Good stuff!
