Over 2000 Universal apps available
Apple has told Macworld UK that there are now over 2000 applications on its Universal Applications guide (there were 2,006 as of last night). More and more developers are making the leap to Universal applications and that makes Intel Mac users (like myself) a happy lot.So, what non-Universal applications are you chomping at the bit for (other than the obvious Photoshop and Office)?

Max/MSP/Jitter, baby! Seriously, I saw the deep interactive toolkit running on Intel Macs at NAMM, and it's going to unleash a whole lot of fabulous new sound, video, and 3D graphics when it comes out.
I'm also desperate for Flash, because it should also run really nicely on Intel Macs. But we probably don't want to get started on Adobe.
In the music market, while a lot of big apps are out (see Pro Tools LE, as of today, on top of Reason, Logic, and Live), plug-ins are still slow in coming. Native Instruments Reaktor tops my list.

I would love to see URLwell be updated...but it doesn't seem to exist anymore.

On a side note, I updated my MBP to 2GB of RAM and Photoshop is actually useable now. I can't wait to see if they'll release CS3 to take full advantage of the duo core structure. No cutting corners Adobe.

Vectorworks (CAD software). It's keeping us from upgrading our main machines at my small business.

I'm dying for:
- Transparent Dock (Free Range Mac)
(I know APE just came out today)
- Flip4Mac (so I can play those damn WMV files again)
- VolumeLogic (because I paid for it... then I got an Intel iMac)

The wait for Photoshop made a Gimp user out of me! Aside from Office, I'm really looking forward to Dreamweaver. It was never quick to begin with, and it's pretty nasty in Rosetta. I've switched to Rapidweaver for my personal website, but for some that I maintain, I have to use something more flexible. I'm also dying without plug-ins for Firefox, namely Flip4Mac and the PDF reader!

MATLAB is the big one for me. Adobe/Macromedia apps are also important, but at least they run in Rosetta.

Studiometry. (I guess REALBasic developers can't do Universal applications yet.)
Rosetta's speed is utterly horrendous on a Solo Mini. It seems quite usable on the dual-core machines I've played with, just not on the one I could afford :-)

Two applications come to mind (besides the Macrodobe pro apps), and both are pretty useless until they are made Universal.
The first is Connoisseur, a recipe/cooking application similar to iTunes in functionality that is pretty slow in Rosetta. The other is Unsanity's Mighty Mouse, which allows you to change your Mac cursors (is there no other application that allows you to do this?). Mighty Mouse is not able to run on Intel Macs at all, which saddens me.

Flip4Mac. Before I discovered it, I wouldn't even bother with .wmv files, even when I could install WMP.
