Apple Store UK lowering prices?

We're receiving tips that the Apple Store UK has begun quietly dropping prices on a few of Apple's products. Specifically, both versions of the iPod nano are reportedly down £10 each, while the 1.66 Ghz Mac mini has been lowered £70. The iMac is also alleged to have received a price drop, though reports don't have prices for comparison.

Again, I personally can't confirm these reports, as I live in the US and typically shop in that store, so take this with a grain of salt and try to keep speculation within bounds.

[thanks to everyone who sent this in!]

BUt anyway why the big question mark and uncertainty in the post?? Just go to the Apple Online Store in the UK and check for yourself!!

Its a bit pathetic that you couldnt just choose the UK version of the apple site and check! Or do you not read english?

Both versions of the iPod Nano? Don't you mean 3 versions (1GB, 2GB, 4GB)

And yeah all the prices have dropped as well as in other non apple stores

I can also confirm this, I've just ordered an iMac and got an e-mail saying the price has been lowered and I'll get a refund (they didn't specify by how much though).

hello TUAW!
The Apple prices were reduced all troughout Europe
here's what happened in Italy
http://www.macitynet.it/macity/aA24890/

prices are down from 6 to 12% on several products:
mac mini, iMac, iPods and iPod Hi-Fi

I think this is due also to the new US Dollar/Euro Exchange Rate

gozer:

Actually, the Candian dollar is gaining in value, not the US dollar losing it. Check it v Euro and the Pound for verification.
