An InDesign user reviews QuarkXpress 7

I know nothing about QuarkXpress or InDesign as I haven't ever even started up either application. I don't know anything about Photoshop either (shocking, no? I don't mean my ignorance, since I am sure you have all grown accustomed to that, rather I am speaking of the fact that I have never used a Mac for any kind of graphics work). Now, clearly, I am in no position to offer up an opinion about Quark's latest offer, luckily for us Dave Girard at Ars Technica knows both products and has offered up a very detailed review of QuarkXpress.

What does he think? Well, I can tell you that he isn't abandoning his copy of InDesign any time soon, but if you want the details you'll have to read his review.

Thatâ€™s a great review, and lets thank Quark for catching up to the year 2001.

Its little wonder that people are switching to InDesign seeing as it's feature set is at least 5 years ahead of Quarks.

This is a great review! He actually works through the new features with a finetooth comb. So instead of just saying how wonderful all the new (long-overdue) features are, he actually makes sure they work like they should.

A great read!

I'm getting worried about you Scott... a bunch of your posts start as 'I'm not really into this....' 'I'm not much into that'.. 'I don't care for this..'...
Are you depressed ? ;-) Anyway, as for Quark..

I remember hearing something about the new Quark was supposed to be Universal, but they covered up the stickers on the retail boxes, since it didn't make it in time, and are planning to release it soon.
