Call of Duty 2 demo released
At long last, Aspyr has released a demo of the hugely popular sequel to Call of Duty, the aptly named Call of Duty 2. No matter how badly I wanted to run to the Apple store and pick up the retail version, I knew I would feel horribly foolish if I got the game home only to find that it wouldn't run on my PowerBook. I knew I had to wait for the demo. MacGameFiles has the 665MB file as either a direct download, or a deliciously communal bittorrent file (doesn't the sharing just make you want to hug someone!?). If you've been waiting to try the game before you buy it, there is no better time than the present to kick some virtual Axis butt. [Via The MacObserver]

Just played the first level and this thing cooks. maybe it's because i don't have the settings perfected on windows (running bootcamp) but this runs smoother and faster than Battlefield 2 or Doom 3.

#5, try bittorrent?
I bought it and have been playing it but I couldn't get the cheats to work. I followed the instructions on several sites including Apple's "Cheat if you must" page and I just can't get them to work!
I ended up getting through the part I was stuck on without cheating. So that's good. ;-)
Bought it, finished it, loved (on dual 2ghz G5 rev a). If only us mac types could download new single player missions (not a fan of the multi player).

July 02 2006 at 11:58 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI downloaded this onto my 2.16Ghz Macbook Pro and maxed out the settings. It's like having a portable XBOX 360, it looks so nice. I didn't play for an extended period of time so it didn't get that hot but I'm really impressed with the performance. You guys should seriously try out the demo.
July 02 2006 at 11:48 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyHas anyone tryed to play the full game in a G4? I installed the demo in a dual G4 1.5Ghz and it's quite playable... I wonder if it's the same with the full game...
