Transmit 3.5.4 released

Transmit, Panic's FTP client that I firmly believe was coded by angels, has been updated to version 3.5.4. They offer detailed release notes, but the cliff notes include SFTP error improvements, upload/download error and Growl notification fixes, navigation tweaks and much more.

Transmit 3.5.4 is a free update and available from Panic's site.

Geordie, if the content here isn't up to your oh-so-demanding standards, why are you reading? Why not do as another poster suggested and start your own Mac blog?

Posting only to complain about the content qualifies you as a troll.

I started uploading all of my dreamweaver-edited files via Transmit simply because Dreamweaver is so buggy and slow when it comes to file upload. I appreciated the heads up, TUAW!

Having a different point of view to you does not make me a troll.

A low noise to signal level makes a website useful.

I've seen many sites become useless because the noise level has gone through the roof.

x.0 releases are major feature updates. x.x are minor feature updates. x.x.x are bug fix releases.

Transmit 3.5.4 release is just bug release.

Posting about bug releases does little more than raise the noise level on this website.

Who is interested in this bug release? People who own Transmit. And those people will be told about the bug release the next time they run it. It has automatically checks for new versions. So why pollute this blog?

Say Panic release Transmit 4.0. By all means post about it. But I don't want to hear about a bug release for Transmit or any program. If I do I'll go read Versiontracker.com or Macupdate.com (which coincidentally are two sites suffering from a high noise to signal level).

Transmit is garbage! I hate it! Panic's software ate my dog! And wrote "VOID" on all of my homework! And rearranged my Photoshop file layers! And I don't like the deoderant their code ninjas wear! What's worse is that TUAW is now a crappy and worthless site simply because I hate Panic's software! I don't know how ICANN allows TUAW to keep committing their unforgivable acts of blogging against an otherwise pure and enjoyable internet!

Ah, I see the trolls have come out from under the bridge. Transmit is a very well written app, easy to use and feels very mac-like.

Geordie, whats so bad about Panic software? There may be some obscure bugs in some of their apps, but I've never had a single issue. Unison, Transmit, CandyBar... all exemplary programs as far as I'm concerned.

David C.,
Thanks for the heads up. I own Transmit and it's good to be notified of the update! Keep up the good work.
