iChat Mobile: could this be the iPhone?

Alright boys and girls, WWDC is less than a week away, rumors are flying and now: so are the images. This 'iChat Mobile' device could exist only in Photoshop for all we and Engadget know, but the possibilities sound pretty delicious. If you let your imagination run wild for just a little bit, however, even that slogan can sound like something Apple would produce.

Could this somehow tie into iChat itself, fulfilling so many of those VoIP + Leopard rumors that have been flying around? Might this also offer a true iTMS experience, packing iPod-nano sized memory, sans a song cap? Time will only tell if WWDC reveals anything about one of Apple's worst kept secrets as of late.

Alright: let the speculation continue!

Okay, the shuffle looking navigation button, it would make no sense to make it to scale, it would be no bigger than a regular circular navigation button on any other cell phone. Don't know if it's true or not, but I have high hopes for it.

The tag-line "Everything you expect from a Mac, from a phone." is grammatically poor! I don't believe it. The way in which the text is broken into lines is also a little strange - something that no self respecting graphic designer / artist would allow.

SO fake. Can't believe it's even open to doubt.

Agreed, fake. That product statement is so incredibly cheesy; even the most conservative brands on this planet, like Mercedes, don't have ads nearly that cheesy.

Not only that, but the Mac naming convention is only limited to actual computers, it is highly unlikely that Apple would insinuate that an iPod or a phone, for that matter, is also a Mac.

Also, the secondary font is too small and too dark in comparison to the main font when you compare it to the Apple convention.

Well, my friend just revealed that the video I posted on Youtube was a fake, created by an unemployed designer/artsy friend of his he sent me the PSD file to prove it...and a second video.

Looks like a complete fake to me. Camera on the back is a give away.

Fake. What you see on-screen is a slightly edited Mac theme for SonyEricsson T630 GSM phone, dating back to 2003.

Well, the market is ripe (at least from my perspective). I've just been given a smartphone allowance by my employer, who pays for our Cingular service, with a mandate to make a purchase within a month. It's either WinCE (not happening) or Palm, as I'm not interested in Symbian.

I'll be forced to settle for a soon-to-be-replaced Treo 650, unless Apple busts out some iPhone goodness next week. If they can deliver a GSM phone that AT LEAST syncs with Address Book, iCal and Mail through iSync, with a reasonable price, I'm set. Mobile e-mail would be the kicker.

In a dream world, they'd unveil Mac OS mini, a Unix-based, embedded small footprint OS with snazzy GUI and built-in OSX sync and transfer capabilities. QuickTime, iLife and iWork compatibility would be a given.

That's totally fake. Why would Apple want to jump into an already saturated market with a iPod themed phone that does what every other cellphone does and has pretty much the same UI as every other cellphone? It's not their style. Also, where's does the battery go? Where does the SIM card go?
