Pretty nice. Now, Let's see the Mac Pro stomp some Windows only PC's!

Liquidmark: It's "PCs", not "PC's". Sorry to dump on you, but I've seen way too many superfluous apostrophes to let it go this time.

even though Anand did the piece, i'm sure Scott was just referring to Anandtech as a whole. i mean, they do have a STAFF, it's not just Anand doing everything:

It just looks incomplete without that G5 tag.

I just don't find the internals as interesting anymore without the G5 on the heat sinks.

Well... you could either leave it blank or slap an "Intel Inside!" graphic in place of the old G5 print. (eeks!)
I'll take mine plain, please.

I think an Apple logo wouldn't look bad on each of the hard drive sleds. The G5 does look a lot cooler with the side panel off than the MacPro. It also seem alot more full of stuff. My single 1.8gHz G5 has a giant empty space towards the front of it.

The article mentions the poor RAM performance but doesn't mention that the MacPro RAM is ECC. All that error checking causes a performance penalty. G5 PowerMacs don't use ECC RAM.
