We all know that his Steveness is a master showman. His patented Reality Distortion Field often gets people to take out their wallets before he has even uncovered whatever product he is showing off. That is why it should come as no surprise that his 1984 keynote, introducing the Macintosh, made this top ten list of presentations. Martin Luther King Jr also made the list, so Steve isn't in bad company.Dear TUAW'ers, I thought it would be fun to ask you what your favorite Stevenote was. I have to pick the 2006 MWSF Stevenote, since that was the first one that I saw in person. How about you?

MWSF 2003.
Aluminium PowerBooks. Safari. iLife. AirPort Extreme. Lots of new toys for instant download, and shiny new hardware.
These products have been cornerstones in Apple's line-up ever since.

I'd have to give it to the 1997 Macworld Boston keynote, which is the first one where we saw Steve Jobs since returning to Apple.
(That was the one where the ominous presence of Bill Gates appeared on the video wall, which was used to great effect in the histori-drama "Pirates of Silicon Valley.")
Without Jobs's return, and that keynote where he charted the course for returning Apple to prosperity (or as was stated less publicly, saving it from oblivion), I think it's fair to say we wouldn't be reading TUAW... because there would be no Apple to comment on.
Here's the keynote...

And as you can hear from the introduction given by the Macworld organizer, Apple was emerging from very desperate times. When Steve Jobs appeared on stage, it was like the coming of a messiah, with a minute long standing ovation, followed by the delivery of a vision which we are still seeing carried out today.

I will either go with the 1984 one (I get chillbumps when Macintosh talks every time I watch it) or this latest one, I just thought the intro was funny and I laiked all the poking fun at vista.
