Found Footage: Steve Jobs on CNBC
Shortly after yesterday's big announcements (apparently he gave a speech or something), Steve Jobs appeared on CNBC to talk about the new iPods and the movies that are now a part of the iTunes Store. He mentions the "seasonal" aspect of iPod sales, and that they're optimistic heading into the holiday shopping season. He also gives a generic "no comment" statement regarding the stock options backdating issue that's currently going on.
Finally, not that it has to do with anything, but the reporter is trying to talk as sirens and air horns on a few firetrucks scream in the background. It's kind of funny.

The concept of "aspect ratio" just goes over some people's heads, doesn't it.
The sad thing is, the dope who captured that looks like he was using iMovie. I thought that was idiot proof.

"BTW Jobs didn't say 'no comment'..."
Well, Steve's reply boils down to a very "eloquent" "no comment."
If you prefer a less "squished" version ...

Yes, the firestation is literally one block away. Remember that if you decide to stay at the W Hotel when in SF.
Sirens == Adds to the drama! TV stations really appreciate it.
BTW Jobs didn't say "no comment", it was a bit more eloquent than that. He said that Apple is not under investigation over this by the SEC or anyone else. He also said the only investigation being carried out at the moment is Apple's own internal investigation which has discovered some irregularities but he won't comment on it further so that the independent internal investigation can continue.
The fire trucks weren't staged, the fire house is a block from there, and I remember hearing them roaring down the street yesterday. (Usually several times a day actually, but yesterday's I remember for certain)
BBC aired what was nearly a hit piece on Apple last night to coincide with the European launch of eMusic. So many facts just plain wrong. So many biases and prejudices. I thought the BBC was better...at least better than our media.
