iBiz beta 3 available

I just noticed that my favorite freelancing app, iBiz, is now in a v3 beta phase. At first glance the most notable change is that brushed metal has been given the pink slip, but there is a veritable storm of new features under the hood, including:
- a Document Monitor so iBiz can keep track of project files and how much time you spend on each
- iCal syncing via Sync Services - goodbye to manual lifting
- a Billing Section for more better tracking of invoices, estimates, payments and deposits
- new job events to help track commute mileage, as well as 'non-billable' for the freebies
- AppleScript and Automator support - if they keep this up, your clients won't even need you anymore
- Quick Timers and an improved menu bar utility
- HTML templates with full-blown CSS support

JEEBUS! When will you get rid of that awful GM ad with the jumping ditz? NOW wouldn't be soon enough!

hm, does this new version kill their widget? I see no mention of it in the version 3 docs, and only find a link to it off a version 2 directory. It was the only thing guiding me to this app (cause the old UI was pushing me away)

In my opinion, after playing around with this beta for a while, this is one of the worst beta releases that ever got onto my mac. May be i was expecting too much after having to wait 2 years for the v3 release (well, beta release) to appear. May be I'm too blessed with real good mac software (mainly shareware) been released since 10.3. But the terrible interface glitches (it's like a windows developer who tries to be mac-like), the very much bugyness (i know, it's beta, but hey, this data is really critical: it's pure money, at least for me) is inacceptable. The feature set looks nice though, and I'd pray they magicallly fix all the thousand issues until release - but i already hoped so for v2 (which is really usable after all, but.. well.. it's no dream baby).

I started using iBiz way back, when it was called iWork™. I think they did a fine job on revamping the interface. They addressed the interface issues I had.
To Sev - comment 4, you know it is beta software yet you complain how 'inacceptable' and buggy the software is for your 'really critical' data. Please give IGG a break and accept the risk you took in using this release. Why are you using beta software for your critical data?

#4: I hate to say it, but #5 has a great point. You're kind of contradicting yourself by acknowledging the fact that it's beta but then turning around and complaining about the issues.
Don't use it on your critical data - it's a beta. Don't use *anything* called 'beta' on critical data. Period. *That's WHY it's called beta.* This is a preview release to let people see what's coming down the pipeline and generate some hype, period. 'Beta' is never - *never* - meant, recommended or even condoned by *any* company to be used in a production environment. The fact that the term 'beta' has become almost a catchy fad these days is sadly undermining this crucial fact.

Good...maybe now IGG Software will give some actual attention to their other app, iBank.
They've been using iBiz's impending release to put customers off for months about not offering online banking and other features in iBank.
