Found Footage: Watch the entire iPod introduction

Since today is the iPod's 5th birthday I recommended that you watch the video of its introduction. The YouTube version floating around only shows the iPod intro, but if you want to watch the whole presentation Dan at UNEASYsilence has you covered (and the quality is better too).

Grab a beverage, kick back, and bask in the glow of five year old Reality Distortion Field rays (like a fine wine, they only get better with age).

When waxing nostalgic about five-year-old reality distortion fields, one should always remember to break out Thread 500:

Just right click! http://media.libsyn.com/media/ues/2001-10-23iPodIntro20012.flv

If not, go to the Yahoo search results and right click (Google doesn't seem to want to parse .flv files): http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=http%3A%2F%2Fmedia.libsyn.com%2Fmedia%2Fues%2F2001-10-23iPodIntro20012.flv&fr=yfp-t-501&toggle=1&cop=mss&ei=UTF-8

Then convert using everyone's favorite free app: iSquint www.isquint.org

I second Tim. I imagine Mike doesn't use safari. It doesn't just have a blinking ad (which is tolerable), somehow it blends in with the background of the page and so the entire page blinks. It's awful!

@ Shreedhan:

Apple still uses that location for smaller press events. It's a presentation area that's actually on Apple's campus.

That stage was used to introduce the Core Solo/Duo Mac mini and the iPod HiFi back in February of this year.

Holy crap, alright TUAW, you guys need to get rid of that flashing "You've won a laptop" ad on the right side. It's freakin' annoying as all hell!
