Requesting Feedback on the TUAW podcast

Unfortunately, we won't be having a podcast this week on account of some medical troubles of yours truly. In light of this void, however, we figured it would be perfect time to solicit some feedback on how we're doing so far. Do you want to hear more witty banter from the TUAW bloggers? More screencasts? Too long or short? Would you like more tips and tricks or commentary on current Apple events? We know sound quality is an issue, and we're working on it (I just picked up a Blue Snowball for you guys, and I'm trying to learn everything I can about how best to leverage it). If you need a review, check out our most recent podcasts: #11, #12 (a Quicksilver screencast) and #13, or simply subscribe to our iTS podcast feed or straight-up podcast RSS feed to get caught up.

So let's hear it: what would you like out of the TUAW podcast? Obviously, we'd like you to keep your requests realistic and constructive (i.e. - we're working on a Steve Jobs interview, but don't hold your breath), but we'll do our best to take your feedback to heart and make the TUAW podcast one of the best darn Apple-centric podcasts you can lay your ears on.

The only thing I would like to see is the volume turned up on the recordings. The TUAW Podcast seems to be a lot lower than the other 50+ podcast I listen to every week. And I agree with Adam, more opinions and ideas.Other than that, yall are doing a great job, keep it up and put em out more often.

try focusing on something more like keyboard shortucts or tips for things,
and keep it regular.

nothing sucks more than a good podcast that never airs.

a 5 minute daily show would kick ass to be honest;
you could use that for the news,

what i'd really like to see would be something worthwhile, not just another news podcast.

i'm going to be a pain here and say i don't mind 'too-aw' at all; i think it sounds far better than 'tee-you-ay-doubleyou' or the full name.

as for the podcast itself, well, i have a 4G iPod so i can't watch it, and if i'm sitting in front of my mac i've always got too many other things to do than watch videos. guess i need to either upgrade or time-manage.

Podcasts are fine - I subscribe to a few via iTunes but rarely have the time to listen to them as they are just slower than simply reading pages and I find jingles and aimless banter just get in the way of facts. (If you listen to a science programme via the BBC's Radio 4 website [good] as opposed to the New Scientist podcast via iTunes [irritating], you'll see what I mean).

If you dropped the text, I'd drop your RSS feed. By all mean keep up the podcasts, but don't see them as a replacement for the written word - more a suppliment to it.

I told you a long time ago, the name TUAW has got to go. Time for a new name.
But now that you have to say it over and over on your cast it sucks bad.

The podcast is pretty decent, I would give it a 6 or 7 out of ten. I have to agree with the person who said that we do not need to hear the news stories again, if we have the podcast were following the page.

Personally I always enjoy hearing editors opions and ideas about stories and the goings on. Kinda like a more informal and laid back conversation about what they personally think about the stories.

I agree with others regarding the pronunciation, it's really awkward.

I'd like to hear inverviews with developers (ie 3rd party) with maybe with listers questions as well - both to you guys and to the interviewees.

I also find audio podcast with 2 or 3 people much more interesting to listen to than just one guy going on by themselves :)

Get well soon.
