By now, the overwhelming numbers of you who signed up for a MacHeist invite have noticed you haven't received them yet. To be entirely honest, we weren't expecting over 800 replies, as our original bounty from the good folk behind MacHeist (and MyDreamApp) was 25 invites, which was promptly raised to 250 and then even 400. Due to the landslide of interest from you in joining the fun, it's taking us more time to figure out how to harvest everything we need to get an invite out to you all. Rest assured, we're working on a solution now, and we'll post it ASAP. Stay tuned.Update on the TUAW MacHeist invites

I also have 7 invites available. Each person you invite gets at least three invitations to send out. If you setup a pay-it-forward policy, the 400 invites are more than enough.
Good luck!

I don't know why people are so desperate to get into this - it's a piece of MARKETING - they are TRYING TO SELL YOU A SOFTWARE BUNDLE WHICH YOU DO NOT KNOW THE CONTENTS OF.

Here's a secret: if you go to www.macrumors.com you can join in the "fun" without the need of an invite.

To Neil Christie,
It's not just a bundle of software that you recieve.
Upon completion of each heist, you also get several apps for free, right off the bat. So far I've recieved 5 unlocked apps, three of which I'm already using on a pretty regular basis.

I cannot believe people are like sheep and that this crap gets so much attention. THIS IS A BUNCH OF PEOPLE MILKING MONEY OUT OF YOU. I am sick of these 'games' and 'promos' which are based on a complete lack of information for all parties, whether customer or developer. The developer gets the worst end. Ask how these promos are run, and how money is to be distributed, and you get back some gibberish. No hard details. No proper agreements. It's an insult to call it marketing.

Just to pre-empt anybody about to rag on my post...
I have a great idea, it will be fun. You give me $10, tell all your friends, and get them to give me $10. I will then give you something at the end of the week! Yes, what fun! I can't tell you what it is, but you'll love it! In the meantime, look for the clues. Yes, the clues. I can't tell you what they are, or what the clues are even for. Just do it. I've managed to get these developers of small apps, to work for me, you see, and they're going to set up blog entries and put strange pictures on web-sites. They listened to me. So should you. I might get 10,000 people paying me, so that's $100,000 for sitting around doing nothing. With that kind of money, yes, you'll get a nice surprise at the end of it... hint hint, you'll get some apps, where i pay the poor developer 50 cents or a dollar a copy, they have to then support you guys, while i think up the next great game. Oh wait, that's not it. Or was that a clue? I'm going nuts here, but at least i've been able to give up the day job with these great games!

@Ridiculous
It costs nothing to play. If developers put their names down to give out a piece of software, that's entirely down to them. Nobody is forcing anyone to do anything. It's a bit of fun. Clearly you've missed the point.
