NetFixer - capture screenshots of entire websites

NetFixer is a new webpage capturing utility from Shiny Frog software, the same crew that brought us the fantastic Delibar. In the same vein as Paparazzi and Yoink, NetFixer employs some unique features:
  • Very small and light app, only 240kb (Universal Binary)
  • Shot directly from your preferred browser with the awesome bookmarklet
  • Export the shots in various formats
  • The user can set the default size of the canvas
From my brief tinkering, NetFixer is pretty brain-dead easy to use, and it creates good looking screencaps (though I admittedly haven't had much of a reason to use any similar apps in the past). NetFixer is apparently free from Shiny Frog Software's site.

This isn't that much different than the previously mentioned Paparazzi - both seem to do the same thing quite nicely. What I love, as a designer who's needs to take screenshots often, is that when you choose the PDF option it preserves the on-screen look, but keeps the text as text (often saving as a PDF displays how a page will look printed, with no background images, etc). This allows for someone to review a page and then edit the text right in Acrobat and then send back to me with comments.

But both this and Paparazzi seem to only shoot static pages, when I often need to be able to capture dynamically generated pages where copying and pasting a URL just won't work.

I wonder if this could be combined with automater so for instance in the morning it would open and save your favourite blogs for reading later on the train to work.

I don't know if this would serve people's purposes in the same way, but lately I've been capturing webpages as PDFs. Simply right-click on a page, and choose "Export PDF". I use Safari+Saft -- I'm not sure if this is a Safari or Saft feature. It's handy when I have a long article to read and an unreliable Wi-Fi connection. Hope this helps someone.

This software unfortunately doesn't capture entire webSITES, only webPAGES.
