Start planning now for Macworld Expo 2008

The Stevenote was barely over on Tuesday and already the sign for next year's Macworld was up in the lobby of Moscone South.
For the first time in years, Macworld Expo in San Francisco will not overlap with the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Vegas. Macworld 2008 will take place January 14-18 2008, while CES is the prior week, January 7-10, 2008. I'm sure this has more to do with the fact that Apple is firmly a consumer electronics company itself now and will probably have a significant presence at both shows, and less to do with making Tech bloggers lives easier, but we'll take it however we can get it!
So who is going to make the first Countdown to Macworld 2008 widget?

I'll be going to both next year.
Man, I had everything planned out for next year. Go to Macworld and enjoy myself before school begins. Now it turns out it was changed TO the week when school begins.

I had not looked at the back on my badge at all until you mentioned it. The blank badges are printed well in advance (attendees who register early get their badge months beforehand), so it does look like they did change the date recently. I have confirmation that the dates on the lobby banner are correct, though. Thanks for pointing that out!

Apple presented no Mac news at all this year. Their booth had iLife '06! I mean, really, 06?!!! If this trend is going to continue, I think Mac lovers will stop attending Macworld Expo. What will next year's big new be? Apple Toothbrush?
@Big John: dude that would be a lot of keynoting...i wouldn't bet on it. Wouldn't make sense to drag Apple fanboys from SF to Las Vegas in the span of a week. As much as I'd like to see Apple's consumer electronics + iPod not be such a big part of MACworld and have it go back to being about the computers I know that Apple is a bit of a spotlight hog and wouldn't want to launch things in the chaos known as CES.
