Apple Store Bentall Centre: Your reports

Earlier today, Apple opened its newest retail store at Bentall Centre in the UK. As usual, we asked any TUAW operatives who may have attended to share their reports and/or pictures. So, did you go, and if you did, how was it? Let us know in the comments. Here's hoping you scored a T-shirt (or even won the "Digital Lifestyle Collection!").

Prizes, T Shirts, queues!!! Aaaargh! I can't take reading about Apple Store openings any more. Sitting here in Europe's largest economy, fifth largest in the world I just want to know one thing. WHEN ARE APPLE GOING TO START OPENING STORES IN GERMANY??

saamvisual,

The contest is open until Monday 6pm according to the Bentall Centre page:
http://www.apple.com/uk/retail/bentallcentre/week/20070218.html

So presumably no-one can say anything until then.

Has anybody heard anything about an Apple Store in Dublin???

Went to NY and saw the 5th Ave and Soho stores and when I told people here they said 'There are a few Apple stores here (Dublin)". There aren't. Apparently the camera shops that deal Apple products are mistaken for Apple stores!

HELP! PLEASE OPEN AN APPLE STORE IN DUBLIN!!!

It Did indeed open - was a great day, I was Lucky enough to be the 1st in the Queue of what mst have been well over 1000 people, and thus 1st to step through the doors, everyone there was taking pictures, so I'm sure there will be a ton out there.

I got there 10 seconds before the count down. I expected there to be less than 100 people, but there was more than 500! I still got my t-shirt though, which luckily was large, not extra large. I was tempted to get more than one, but i decided against it. Also, thanks to all the people who put ther pictures on flickr, i found myself 3 times!

Something tells me that John Lewis is gonna lose a lot of business.

Managed to get an early break from work to nip in and grap a t-shirt. I found it interesting that our sales at john lewis rite next door whernt that effected, i sold a few macbooks and some imacs today which is the average for a saturday. I think the extra year guarantee is what will bring people to JL but they win hands down on accessories and software.

I went along at about 10, got myself a tshirt, I considered getting more, but I thought I would that would be selfish. It was pretty good, only 1 till, but lots of sales assistants with the portable card reader things. Bought myself an iPod power adapter. They had a few Airport Extremes, which seemed to be going quite fast.
