New UK Get a Mac Ads
Back in January we mentioned Apple's UK Get a Mac campaign featuring local British comedy duo, David Mitchell (PC) and Robert Webb (Mac). Despite a report that the ads might actually be harming Apple's image in the UK, Apple is apparently pressing ahead with a few new ads including: Naughty Step, Court, and Magic. For my own part, I like the ads, probably even more their US counterparts. Besides, the word 'naughty' is funny all by itself! Check out the new ads at Apple UK.Thanks, John!

Maybe it's the British accents, but I thought these were funnier than the American commercials. I watched a few but will have to watch the rest at home. I don't want to risk LOL here in cubicle-ville.

I can only assume there is a big TV campaign on its way, as the posters make little sense to the average man in the street without to video to compliment it.

I like the UK commercials much more than the US ones. Although I have to agree with the criticisms of the UK commercials that they make the PC seem quirky and funny and the Mac a bit rude.

March 12 2007 at 3:13 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyThe idea of a naughty step is to send small children to sit on the stairs when they have been naughty. The theory being that they can see and hear everything thats going on but can't join in, the worst punishment possible, not being the centre of attention. Little point sending them to their room if its stuffed full of toys.
