Apple Store is down
That's right, kids, Apple's web elves are up to something. The Apple store is down at the moment. Does this mean some super cool new product, or is this just a wee bit of maintenance? We'll find out soon enough, though Apple usually releases new products on Tuesdays, so don't get your hopes up.Thanks to everyone who sent this in.
Update: The store is back up with nothing new. Just some maintenance as we all suspected, but a Mac geek can dream.

I think that it might just be maintainence.
None of the other Apple Stores seem to be down, and usually when a new product is launched (especially a big one like a new iMac or whatever [which I'd assume they'd hold a press conference or something for]) the whole lot of them go down.

Probably something iPhone related. When the iPhone was introduced in the the store, only the USA Store went down.
I don't want an iPhone, I want a new iMac.

Australia store is still up.
Though the timing is right for a new release. When the 2nd Gen Macbook Pros were released, the store was updated between about 930 and 1030 pm AEST, which is about now.

The Apple Store was behaving erratically over the weekend, at least for me. The times that I clicked a link from the front of store.apple.com, it gave me an error message.
I too would suggest that this is just maintenance, unless you know of some big pro media show is going on right now.

I don't visit the US store that much..
However I noticed a "big screen" device for the iPod... LOOKS really nice...

New Mac Minis will be released tomorrow! How do I know? Well, I've had a G4 Mini as a media center forever. I didn't order it with wireless, but now I want wireless, so I can watch movies stored on another machine. (I've been sneakernetting them thus far.) I've been going back and forth between upgrading it vs. buying a new one. The thing is, the new ones are a little pricey for "just" media center duties. (And no, I don't want an Apple TV.) So I've been waiting for them to rev the line so I can swoop in and get one of today's Minis at a discount once it's no longer current. But, I finally caved and bought an Airport/Bluetooth kit from eBay. It showed up today, so, new Minis will come out tomorrow. :-)

Under de price is now an indication of how much the item costs you a month.

The EPP discount (employee purchase plan/program) now has refurbed 8 gig nanos and 30 gig 5g ipods at a discount. As well as the "now ships in 1 day" added to the iphone.
