Song Sender sends iPhone tunes to email and ringtones
Song Sender allows you to pick a song from your iPhone's song library and send it to a friend via email. If you'd like to use a song from your library as a ringtone, you can do that too. Install the package into your iPhone using your favorite installer application. When run, the software reads through your library, creating a scrolling list of your songs. Tap any song and you'll be prompted with three choices: play it, send it by email, or add it to your ringtones.
It practically reaches Zune-levels of squirting functionality! Small print: Fair use only. This software is not intended for pirating purposes. Use your powers for good, not evil. Do not take internally. Software is not a substitute for advice provided by a doctor, lawyer, or the EFF. In case of rash, itching, or swelling seek medical attention immediately. This software was brought to you by the letters E. r. i. c. and a. Do not use SendSong to install iTMS-purchased tracks as ringtones.
Update: Version that does not rely on whether you've installed /bin/cp is found here.

Great app! But I'm having some problems. There are some songs near the bottom of the list that I would like to make ringtones and when I try to scroll down to them, the app shuts down before I can get to it.I've tried uninstalling, then reinstalling. I've tried scrolling very slow or very fast, but no matter what, it always shuts down. I have an At&t activated phone, but have installed several other apps that work fine. Please help.

is there any way for the library to be in alphabetical order? or to pull up a song by typing in the name? Otherwise it's a great application!

i love ur sendsong app. great works~!
everything works perfect but sometime i can't attach song as ringtone and email. i figured i can only attache and send the files that named in alphabet. I can't attach file or songs that has Japanese character. Once i try to send the song with japanese characters via email, it doesn't do nothing. also try to send as ringtone, it make confirm sound but the song is not showing up on ringtone list.
Sendsong only support alphabet??? will not work for other language characters???
plz respond me.~
I have the same problem as #46. I have created clips of songs specifically for ringtones and named them ringtone names but the list is not alphabetically ordered and when I scroll down to about 2/3, the app closes out and takes me back to the home page...

September 14 2007 at 11:20 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI have been looking on the internet all over for this answer because my problem seems so simple but I can't find it.
Does anyone know how to get the song out of the e-mail after I receive one? All I get is the e-mail like the nice screenshot above, but then I don't know what to do with it. I can't do anything to it, click it, etc. What do I do?
Great program although it crashes when it gets about 2/3 through my list....any suggestions as I want the song toward the end of the list.
