OMG! OMG! OMG! The Apple store is...
Deep breaths, everyone. We know, we know. The Yellow Sticky Note of Unpromised Excitement has returned. The store is down. We do not, however, know why. But we thank all of you who have written in. It's probably periodic maintenance--it happens--but if something big shows up, let us know. We love to hear from you, even when it's just a quick "OMG OMG THE STORE IS DOWN" note.
Update: The store is back online for the most part--although it keeps popping on and off. See anything new?

I dunno how the Apple Store's backend works, but here's what I guess is happening:
Apple is currently adding the next iPod/nano/whatever, and setting it to "invisible" or "admin only" or something like this.
They will likely be looking this over for the next couple days, just checking for spelling, etc.
When it's announced, they will switch it from invisible to visible, and it'll be there for everyone.
Just a guess. But not all that unlikely.
