Reminder: You could be the next TUAW blogger
Just a gentle reminder that September 7th is the deadline to apply to be TUAW's next blogger (sounds like a really lame reality show, doesn't it?) and it is rapidly approaching. Send the following:- A brief bio
- 3 samples of posts written in TUAW's style. One should be a review of something, another an opinion piece, and the third can be whatever strikes your fancy (existing blog posts cannot be used, this has to be new material)
- Your current Mac setup
- Your contact info

Just curious, when will you be contacting the applicants, after the 7th?

What kind of contact information are you looking for? Phone numbers? Mailing addresses? Fax numbers? GPS cordinates?
Or would an email address be adequate?
:)

So if I'm 18, I can't do it?

If you're 18, in all likelyhood you're been alive for more than 18 years (unless your birthday is today, in which case you ought to apply tomorrow).
When you were a child, you were zero years, zero days old on the day you were born. On day 2, you were zero years, one day old. Which is older then 0 years.

#4: If you are 18 and 1 second old, you are over the age of 18.
I have a question: if you have your own personal / professional blog, is it considered a conflict of interest?

Jon, I (and most other bloggers here) have personal blogs. As long as you aren't blogging about Apple stuff someplace else it is fine :)

Is there a specific word count that TUAW tries to conform to? I have been following you all for sometime and there doesn't appear to be one, but it is better to ask.

yetsirah, there isn't a word count minimum.
Van, email address is fine. :)

@Stephen Liu
No, there aren't. Someone from TUAW answered this in the comment strings of the original post on this subject.

So, when will we know the names of the new TUAW bloggers?

The 7th has come and gone, but the "TUAW WANTS YOU!" banner is still running.
Is it too late to submit an application?

I guess it is.
But then again, maybe they did not find (m)any satisfactory entries (which would explain the delay in announcing the recruits) and therefore are still on the lookout. I guess another email wouldn't hurt. :)

Any word yet on when (if) they are going to inform the lucky winners?
