Apple posts 3 new Get a Mac ads
Ever since the iPhone was released it seemed that Apple was funneling all of its advertising budget into iPhone advertising. This meant a lack of those fun Mac vs. PC commercials that we have all grown to love. Luckily for us, Apple has just started airing three new entries into their 'Get a Mac' ad campaign, and i must say that these are the best yet.All two of the three ads (Podium and PR Lady) focus on the general public's lackluster response to Vista, and the fact that some PC users are actually downgrading to XP. The Podium ad actually made me laugh out loud, which is high praise for a commercial.
The remaining commercial (Boxer) focuses on people switching to the Mac for its ease of use.
All of the ads have been updated with an iMac sporting Leopard's default desktop.
What do you think of the new ads? Sound off in the comments.

These ads (among other things) just make it faintly embarrassing to be a Mac user. Not enough to make a difference to anything, but I wish they'd stop it. Besides:
"Hi, I'm a Mac. I was in that Herbie movie with Lindsey Lohan."
"And I'm a PC. I'm a regular contributor to The Daily Show."
What are they trying to tell us, exactly?
I grew up on PC's and recently have been considering betting a macbook pro and dualbooting Leopard and Vista. These commercials however make me not want to get invloved with Apple. They are perpetuating a trivial battle and actually twisting facts to make their product seem better. They act like they have something to proove and it is dispicable. These make me NOT want to buy apple products. If their commericals are juvenile, what does it say about the company? WHen we are takling mass markets, all these commericals do is make possible switchers mad.

i don't see the ads as being overly negative when what they point out is true. i know some windows users and, they admit that the points apple makes make against windows are all true. that being said, apple *has* said some things in these ads about macs that aren't exactly true -- the "virus" ad, anyone?
As a pc user who is curious about macs because i just got my degree in graphic design, none of these commercials do anything but make me hate apple. If you want me to buy one, give me a reason why, no why you dislike pcs. Its like ##@!% envy ya know?

Let's see a capaign that says our customers are intelligent enough to figure out what they want. And just enlighten them with what your offereing. if i'm the shallow guy those ads are aimed at I want to change and go and buy a PC.
I like Apple's current plan to take over the planet. I'm still wondering if OEMing OSX for loading on DELL or HP hardware is in the cards someday. Found it interesting how much quicker Darwin came out with these release.
