ZiPhone 2.5 released
If you are looking to jailbreak your iPhone and the most recent iNdependence beta isn't for you, you might be interested in trying out the latest version of ZiPhone. ZiPhone 2.5, which is now available for all users (not just financial donors, who were expected to get the app somewhat sooner than the rest of us) is compatible with the latest iPhone 1.1.4 firmware. Zibri recommends restoring the phone to 1.1.4, not updating, because of potential conflicts within the application cache. The early e-mails we have received from users has been positive, but as always, jailbreak at your own risk.
Thanks to everyone who sent this in!

March 25 2008 at 7:21 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down Replyhi ... heres whats happened. i was installing various apps on my 1.1.2 iphone for the last two days. everything was working fine. yesterday after installing a small game i got a message saying something like "low disc space" etc. "delete something" etc. i then tried to install "Appollo" an IM of about 4MB. it took a long time after the download and installation being completed for the phone to re-boot. since then the phone doesnt switch on. it just shows the apple logo for some time and then some flashing lights and then some ants crawling all over (i had installed ants and it was working fine). with the sim inside if some body calls the other party hears the phone ring but the phone doesnt ring at all. i tried resetting using itunes. it tells me that all data will be lost and the phone will be reset to factory settings. on clicking yes it then says do you want your phone software to be updated with the latest software (1.1.4 - is it crackable??). thats when i stopped and thought of taking your advice.

Hi all,
I don't have iphone yet, but I download the ziphone2.5, then I run ziphonegui.exe on Windows xp, I got the error message:
This appliaction has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.
Anyone knows how to fix it. Thank you so much.
What is the problem (if any) of downgrading the Boot Loader from 4.04 to 3.9? Can anyone explain me this? I've read that the ZiPhone sacrifices features of the 4.04 BL...but what features?
Thank you! :-)
Thank you!!. Small problem - cannot customize favorite screen. Install CameraPro and iFartz and now Installer Icon out of the screen... cannot switch to other screen. Cannot make my icons wigle mode.
Thanks again ! Donate.
Hello I want to use ziphone to unlcok my phone on a mac.
Also is there insurance or something that it will work?
and does it has a mac version?
No problems Restoring to 114 and then using ZiPhone 2.5 to actv/jb/unlock. But I'm let down by the lack of 114 compatible apps. I know this will right itself soon, but I'm interested in downgrading to 111 or 112. Have been trying various methods to downgr the baseband all night but can't seem to get it to change from 04.04.05_G. Tried downgr phone to 111 and then running Baseband Downgrader, also tried running Virginizer - both fail, leaving 04.04.05_G in place. Tried using ZiPhone 2.4's Unlock (should replace baseband with 4.03.13_G) and also its Erase BL 3.9 Baseband options - both report success but actually leave 04.04.05_G in place. Tried ZiPhone 1.1's Unlock option, which should replace baseband with 04.02.13_G - it too reports success but actually leaves 04.04.05_G in place. Anyone have success downgrading the baseband after having upgraded or restored to 114? If so, please let me know what method you used. Thanks.
