Apple TV offers limited internet radio support

Apple TV Source
notes that the latest 2.0.2 update makes internet radio work a little better with the Apple TV. Basically you can play internet radio streams on the Apple TV if you have it synced to an iTunes computer with a playlist containing the streams. Before the update the source computer had to be on for this to work. Now, however, the Apple TV will retain the playlist even without the iTunes computer until it is restarted (it will retain the playlists even if put to sleep). The
original post has complete instructions.

I haven't tried this since the latest update, however even with the previous version it would not work for me. Even if my source computer was on. Can't wait to try it when I get home though.

OK. Nothing has changed for me. It still says there are no songs in the playlist.

It worked with the 2.0 update but has not worked for me since, including the 2.0.2 update: I've tried everything!

Been working well for me. The only hiccup has been a few of the stations I've dragged into/added to iTunes. Apparently, they don't match all of the iTunes requirements well enough to work with the AppleTV - though they work in my iMac.
Even though I get a lot of XM stations with my DirecTV sub, it's a pleasure to be able to include my favorite Internet radio stations.

Please don't do this! You're using a power sucking TV (and a computer to boot!) to listen to internet radio. The TV is on, it's not displaying anything associated with the music and is sucking the life juice out of our fair earth. Use your computer or an actual radio instead.
I have this same problem with listening to the XM or Sirius stations on our Dish Network service. I forbade anyone in our house to do this. It makes no sense to waste all that electricity when a power miser radio or an already on computer can do it for you.

Oh my goodness, get a life! If you're worried about the costs, then sure, but whining about the poor earth? Come on!! The earth has done fine for the 6,000 or so years it's been around, and I don't see that changing anytime soon, regardless of the crap Al Gore spouts.
Sheesh.

Justin:
A) My AppleTV plays audio just fine with the TV off.
B) You're a control freak and I feel sorry for those you live with.
C) Life Juice? Really?
D) I am playing my music right now with my 1000 Watt amplifier turned up as loud as it will go with the speakers unplugged. Just to annoy you. Man is it getting hot. I also set my thermostat to 54 degrees Fahrenheit just so I wouldn't damage my amp.
Vince:
I'm going to assume that was sarcasm.
