iPhone dev program opened worldwide? First report!

I don't know if this is going to pan out or not, but TUAW reader Skaro (exterminate!) reports that he's been accepted into the iPhone developer program. Not a big deal until you realize that he lives in the UK and paid up his £59 fees.
If true, this is huge. Many important 3rd party Apple developers are located throughout the world. Are you an out-of-States developer who's gotten your acceptance email? Please let us know.

I’m in switzerland and I got my confirmation e-mail yesterday. I’ve accepted the license but I can’t get to the payment process; there’s an error saying access to the desired store is currently not possible…

Yes, I'm UK-based, got the acceptance email today and was then able to purchase the 'iPhone Developer Program Standard' through the Apple store.

I also had mine in the UK, and paid my dues... I must admit I'm not sure what happens next? I've not had anything extra to download?

This is very frustrating. I'm in NY, been a Mac developer for decades, can't get in, I have an app that uses the accelerometer, can't test it, yet would like to enter it in the design contest whose deadline is May 12. Very, very frustrating.

I also received an email today to announce I was enrolled in the program
I paid the iPhone Developer Program Standard and got a confirmation by email
and... nothing else.
I don't find where to download firmware and keys. I logged everywhere: apple store (my account and downloads), apple developer connection site (adc), iphone site.
nothing new.

Same story here...
We seem to be victims of the weekend.
I don't expect any keys, firmware beta or anything else before Monday... which is kind of annoying.

Well, Skaro was destroyed in "Remembrance of the Daleks" (Dalek-killing baseball bat ftw!), but still good :)

It seems that they have extended the program officially - at least the text on the iphone dev site no longer mentions US:
"Please note, the iPhone Developer Program will initially be available to a limited number of developers and will expand in the coming months."
Only a few days ago it read "developers in the US and will expand to other countries in the coming months.". I really remember as I revisited the page quite often in hope of any change.
However, I still did not get further than receiving an enrollment number...

Pah! I'm in the UK and I've been in the dev programme since day one. It helps having already been registered as a developer tho'.
