Scene: INT. APPLE STORE - DAY
After being declared a good place to meet men, rock out, and torture the staff the inevitable has finally happened: the Apple Store is going Hollywood. ifoAppleStore is reporting that the teams from the official Apple Store contractor, Shawmut Design and Construction, have been seen building a "a partial retail store set inside a sound stage for filming an unknown movie" at the Burbank Studios. So what do you think? What kind of scene just demands an Apple store setting?

I knew this sounded familiar.
Sounds like CBS is getting ready to shoot this:

many times a film or television show will shoot both on location (in existing structures) and on a constructed set on a sound stage... what i can garner from a production building an Apple Store set would mean that the Apple Store set will be an Integral location to the plot of the movie/tv show... if it was just a one off scene they would go to the store and shoot after hours... but assuming they are building a set, they will be shooting there for many days... and while it maybe an Apple store set it might just simply be a set "inspired" by the Apple store... Ive been on the soundstage for Chuck and its a downright copy of a best buy on a stage...

My friend (ok fine, mom) does commercials, they were going to rent out an Apple store for the night. The price was upwards of 1,000,000 dollars, no joke.
perhaps they need to blow it up?

But for that, they wouldn't need any sets at all. Just a white room. But for a movie, it will be a much BIGGER white room.
