TUAW Review: NEAT Receipts, part 4

Conclusion

I tend to like products that are well-designed and simple to use, and NEAT Receipts for Mac Advance Release scores high on both counts. I'll be curious to see the updated software that will arrive with the "full release" to see what new features and capabilities this device gains.

Would I buy one? Yep. I currently have a flatbed scanner that I use for assorted purposes, but it doesn't provide the same utility or ease of use that I've seen with NEAT Receipts for Mac. It's also not something that I can throw into my computer bag when I'm off on one of my business trips. I've already told my spouse that this is something we could use to finally control the tsunami of paperwork that we're constantly battling.

PS

They don't ship to Canada - argh! If I get one I'll have to mail it to a friend to mail to me. Just an FYI.

Wow! I think this sounds great. If I don't win one I'll buy one. I will use this to dig out from many years of tax-season panic, and try to finally get in charge of my paper.

It looks like exactly what I'm looking for. I need something compact that takes good quality scans and works for my Mac. I only wish the price tag were a bit more appealing. I guess I'll have to wait.

Saw this product a couple years ago now on an episode of Martha Stewart and was disappointed to find out it was Windows only at the time, but all the more excite to see it on the Mac now!

Just moved to a small apartment in Manhattan and the large flatbed scanner my partner and I used to scan receipts and paperwork is just too big for our new miniature place. Been looking for something compact like this, we'd scan everything that'd fit in it!

I sell a lot of stuff on Amazon Marketplace and have an unruly pile of shipping receipts I manually keep track of, this would make that much more manageable.

This is a fantastic idea for me. I'm a self-employed sole-proprietor, so I often have to take extra measures to ensure I keep my business and personal life separate. Neat Receipts would make that so much easier.
