Wow, one of your "Best of the Week", a "favorite post", is the made-up rumor-mongering about Apple supposedly cutting off its own nose to spite Rogers' face?

Does any thought go into compiling this list or is it just selected by a random number generator? Or maybe each author on the blog gets to nominate his or her own favorite post by him- or her-self?

These posts are mostly crap. The only one with legitimate merit to be called a "Best of the Week" is Brett Terpstra's interview with the Spanning Sync guy. The rest? Posts consisting of little more than notifications that software releases have occurred, an odious, unsourced urban legend style wish-fulfilment rumor, Erica Sadun trolling, and the regular "here's what's free on iTunes this week" story.

Is the concept of "Best of the Week" really what these posts reflect? Or are they actually just "5 posts from this week"?
