PerversionTracker returns
PerversionTracker has returned after a long, long hiatus, and now it has iPhone software in its sights. (For the uninitiated, the old PerversionTracker took Mac apps and ripped them to pieces while screaming with joy.) No word on whether the folks at VersionTracker are irked, peeved or fuming.
Why has it returned now? What could possibly have got those hate glands working again? After all, everything in the App Store has to be approved by the gods of Apple before it goes live. There won't be anything worth hating. Will there?
UPDATE: The PerversionTrackers got in touch to remind me that they don't hate all Mac software. Only the bad stuff. My apologies for the misrepresentation, and thanks to the 'Trackers for their laid-back approach to correcting over-excited journalists.

Oh yes. The site that hates Mac software -- all of it, without exception -- is back to hate some more. PerversionTracker has returned after...

Sweet! I missed that site...

This website is not about Apple products at all, but just bashing third party stuff. As much as PC users mostly gargle **** about Apple would they have been bashed for not releasing bad quality software in the store.
After all, what's the deal? Don't like bull**** apps? Then how about some less buying bull**** apps?
But worst of all, this site isn't even entertaining. At all. So, what the holy mother of god whit a lobster whip is it even listed here?
Who writes post about this to go on my nerves and waste my time with? NetNewsWire-Subscriptions minus one.

I think the process of determining what gets into the App store is probably not unlike the process of determining whether a bowl or plate is microwave safe.
Will the bowl damage the microwave or cause immediate and obvious state changes to the microwave, bowl, the air in the room, or the surrounding house?
No? Microwave safe!
Will the bowl leech carcinogens into Bubbi's rouladen when heated? .... Who cares? Microwave Safe!
It seems likely that the perpetrators of PerversionTracker are in fact coveting an iPhone, but either (a) can't afford it, (b) have fingers too large to use it, or (c) ridicule everything that people talk about, on the theory that if it's popular it must be worthy of hate.

Or, it's just fun to make fun of complete and utter garbage.
Yeah, so, like I was saying: (c)

You must be kidding. There is a stunning amount of crud in the App Store. My personal favorites are "iDemocrat" and "iRepublican". Each are $0.99, made by the same person, who declares himself a proud Democrat and proud Republican depending which one you look at, and does nothing more than put the party logo on-screen when you click it.
Avarice + Patriotism + Stupidity = Profit!
If that slime isn't worth hating, what is? :-)
