Obama team chose Apple on election night

In what could be a sign of things to come, ~~an unnamed staffer~~ Biden's son Hunter (thanks commenters) was pictured on Election Night showing Vice President-Elect Joe Biden something on a MacBook Air. Biden also appears to be holding an iPhone 3G with a sticker on the back.

Biden was apparently observing something on screen, while President-Elect Barack Obama celebrated in the background with another staffer. The MacBook Air appeared to be connected to a USB 3G network adapter.

The Obama administration could become the most technologically-savvy presidency so far. The President-Elect's transition team has already put up change.gov, a website developed by Blue State Digital, the same firm that created Obama's campaign website. Obama's administration promises to be the first to include a Chief Technology Officer, and he supports net neutrality.

Obama has been photographed during his campaign using an iPhone. A Newsweek article in Feburary noted that Michelle Obama bought then-Senator Obama and their children each a MacBook, so they could stay in touch during the long campaign.

Yes, we can add the team to the growing list of world leaders using Apple products.

How sad people have to use this forum as a venue for hatred and threats about any human being. Pathetic trolls is probably the kindest remark I'm able to make about these type of bottom feeders.

The piece is about how Apple computers are finding new footing in the coming administration. Refreshingly, the Obama administration will do as Apple has done over the past 10 years - "think different".

I am honestly not trying to start anything, but please remove it if it is not appropriate.

During the debates, when asked if McCain would support a Manhattan Project like gathering of the minds for green energy, he said yes. To me, that is a strange answer, and shows his age and lack of tech understanding. That worked great back in the day, because it was the only way to bring minds together. The hive mind concept, of many many people working on an issue works so much better in today's uber connected world. I just feel like Obama gets it, when it comes to technology, and how green energy is the next big IP (like the industrial revolution, the computer, etc).

So, yes, I am excited about his tech savvy nature, it only makes sense for the leader of our country to be as tech savvy as the public, even more so.

The guy with the President-Elect is Marvin, who was John Kerry's body man for years. I think Kerry found him working in a surf shop, or something along those lines. I hope they find a place for him in the White House too.
