Nice interview with David - if interested I interviewed David when he was visiting my hometown on Cape Cod in Woods Hole, MA - video is here (scroll down the page). He talked about emerging technologies, what he likes about his job and at the end a rendition of "I want an iPhone" he sang at the Marine Biological Laboratory:

Hey TUAW - want to be taken seriously? How about not sending someone to interview David Pogue who's more interested in hooking up with him than interviewing him. She may as well have been wearing a tee-shirt soliciting him. Unbearable to watch.

Oh come on, she's a fan of his work, and why not?
Personally I thought that the banter separated it from other interviews, as you don't usually see anything fun like that.
Great interview tuaw!

Hey Paul -- want to be taken seriously? How about offering constructive comments on the interview instead of nasty, cranky jabs at Christina?
She's a Pogue fan; I'm a Pogue fan too, and if I had been doing the interview we probably would have had to cut out the middle section where I gently stroked his hair.

(sorry Michael, not you - referring to Paul)

Aw, that's not nice! My take is that she was star-struck... It's a tough gig for any twenty-something to pull together a relevant interview. I thought she was cute!

Best Macworld interview I've seen yet!

I just don't like the interview style of this young woman, I find her very irritating.

Contra Paul, I thought it was a very well done interview. Prepared and professional but easy-going. Great job!

Well done interview? Really? Yeah great mic technique! Putting it in your pocket is really where the microphone should go! Also, could she step over Pogue anymore? Nothing like hearing two voices at once. I'm a huge Pogue fan and he's the only good part. The part of the interview that fell on Christina's shoulders was awful.
Michael Rose: Good for you being fans and such but smaltz on him after the interview not during, I'm not watching to see an interviewer say um a hundred times and try to look in to the interviewees eyes.
It was this bad: http://www.myvideo.de/watch/3412362/Chris_Farley_Interview_Paul_Mc_Cartney_SNL

Good interview. A short time to speak about so many things but I think they touched on the main subjects going on the current expo. I bet a you could spend a whole day talking to David Pogue and not run out of interesting stuff to talk about. How con you blame Christina for being excited about interviewing him.

I thought that was a great interview. David Pogue, for those who read his column and seen him on tv is like that all the time. I'm glad tuaw made it a light hearted and to the point, but were having a good time, i hope they do more of those!

erm... how about we focus on what mr. Pogue says and cut some slack on the interviewer??? It's not a forum about genocides, it's commercial/entertainment products and it's supposed to be more lax & fun.

Great Interview! David & Christina are both awesome and entertaining. The point about having an iPhone-only conference is brilliant.
For those who don't like Christina's style, just stick to Barbara Walters (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barbara_Walters) - she's awesome too, but definitely more "traditional".

Wow, I am surprised that people didn't like this interview. I don't visit TUAW much but I do read Pogue regularly. As others have said she was prepared and knew what Pogue is interested in so that she was able to make him feel relaxed. The interview flowed and did not feel scripted, which happens most of the time with these types of interviews. Well done, and shake off the haters.
