iPhone/iPod touch 2.2.1 update available

Apple has just updated the firmware for the iPhone and the iPod touch to 2.2.1. The list (at least for the iPod touch) looks like it is mostly bug fixes and stability improvements, but we're still searching for a full list of all the changes.

You can upgrade your phone or iPod's firmware by selecting, "check for updates" in iTunes.

Thanks to everyone who sent this in!

After updating mine, it screwed my ipod.
I can't sign in w/ my password (like i can click the slide to unlock but it won't show anything when I type the passowrd.)
All I did was come home and click on my ipod (when it was still in the computer.) It let me get on it, but I clicked an app and the app froze...I can't even turn the ipod off. I've had it on the computer charging for hours but the battery has stayed the same...?!

I did the updates for the iPod touch today, and they totally screwed my iPod. All of my downloaded applications aren't working, and my iTunes isn't reading it when I plug it into my computer. Please HELP!

I'm having trouble downloading this... Always when there's about 15 MB left to download, it says it timed out... Starting to annoy me!

Does anyone know why when I click "Check for Update" it still tells me that 2.2 is the current version?

I have done all my software updates so I should be good to go.

I installed the latest update and all my contacts personal ringtones have set to default. My girlfriend rang and I didn't get "The Stripper" as I normally do!

All I want is to be able to view the "info/notes" field in an mp3 (mainly with podcasts). Does it do this yet? Right now, it only works for lyrics :(

I have a Macbook 5.1 with OS x 10.5.6 software - I purchased it in the UK (Nov 2008) and it is loaded with UK based software versions e.g. iTunes.

I have an iPhone 3G - software 2.2 - this was purchased in Switzerland (Lausanne) with Orange as the phone carrier.

It has been confirmed by both Orange and Apple technical support that I should NOT use my English iTunes to update the software on my Swiss iPhone - as trouble may occur (they are not compatible because the English iTunes wants to use the O2 phone carrier settings!).

I don't know how to get a "Swiss" version of iTunes on to my MAC (whenever I try to download iTunes I get a UK based version).

Can anyone help please?

Thanks in advance.
