To get an instant map to any address, just go to your Address Book and right click on the address field of any one of your contacts and select "Map Of." The address will then be revealed in Google Maps on Safari. You can do the same if a data detector determines there is an address in an e-mail in Mail.

Interesting... I'm wondering if you wouldn't be able to go in and pick that up on Thursday before the delivery attempt, since the message talks about a request from the "receiver" of the package for a later date. Likely not though, right? Apple probably has something worked out with UPS.

In my experience with UPS, they are unwavering in ANY of their policies when it comes to Standard shipping. Let's just hope they actually deliver it on Friday.
I ordered an XServe with UPS Standard shipping a few months back. I had been waiting for what seemed like forever. After I waited at home until 8:30pm, they decided to finally update the tracking info for the first time since it shipped saying that it would be delayed three days because of a storm. That was forgivable. The new delivery date was on a thursday or friday that I had to go out of town. I asked to have them hold it at the hub so I could pick it up later, they said they didn't offer that for standard delivery. I asked when they could have it delivered, since they were already late, they said Standard delivery only delivers 3 or 4 days out of the week. So even though it was just sitting about 30 min away, they would not allow me to pick it up and I had to wait about 5 more days(I was going out of town the first delivery date, then they wouldn't attempt delivery again until 2 or 3 days) until the date fell on a day that standard delivery actually offers delivery! Again, my whole day was wasted waiting at home between their delivery window of 9am - 7pm with them delivering at 7:30pm! I finally received my server about 15 days of the original delivery date! I vowed then, if ever given the choice, upgrade the shipping if it is UPS standard.

I just plain don't use UPS anymore, for similar reasons. Always crappy experiences, but Fedex just seems to care about customers more, and is faster.

I'm sure its just the fact UPS's system can't handle a sender request, but did you notice the the note says "receiver" requested hold? Aren't I, the person who ordered the phone the receiver?

You are, but in this case, I highly doubt that this many people requested a hold on their iPhones!

my phone shows an arrival scan of 2:06AM at Louisville, KY, USA, the receiver hold was at 2:02AM. Package had an original delivery date of 6/17/2009, which was later removed and no date was given. since the arrival scan, it has returned. My tracking id includes "66" which means package should deliver between 9:30am and 12noon.

Mine was scheduled for delivery today (and still lists that as the delivery date). But I also have the line about the receiver requesting a delay, so I imagine that it will arrive on the 19th. Even if it did arrive early, I wouldn't be too surprised if it wouldn't be possible to activate it until the official release date.

I ordered on the 10th as an upgrade through AT&T and my order status still says "In Progress" with no items shipped or tracking numbers, etc. I hope it updates soon - I need my new babies! ;)

Mine is stil in CHINA! UPS states will arrive the 18th.... I'm not going to se this phone til Tuesday is my bet :(
