Settle down, ruffians, it's not always new products that cause Apple to take the store down. Sometimes it's improvements to the cart system, or the refurbished lineup, or price changes that have caused Apple to update the store on days aside from Tuesday. I can't deny it'd be cool to see some new stuff today though.

This is really random. I was just this morning thinking hmm, I have had my 24" imac nearly 3 years now (got it on launch day), surely its time for a quad-core imac.
I wonder if today is my day.

Since I bought a new loaded iMac two weeks ago, it would not surprise me if Apple released a new iMac soon. I had the same thing happen to me when I bought my 2006 Core Duo Macbook Pro. A week later Apple released the Core 2 Duo Macbook Pros.

@brinsmaid you should check this before buying http://guides.macrumors.com/Buyer%27s_Guide

Thanks. Yes, I have visited the buying guide. According to it, the iMac is in mid-cycle right now. In the case of the Macbook Pro, I just couldn't wait any longer. I bought it anyway.
The silver lining is that the last model before a revision is typically the most stable.

Yeah, and they'll release such a thing like that without a single press release, keynote, hint or rumour. Jeeze...
