No way, not on a Saturday night/Sunday morning.

I doubt it... Everyone's very certain that new iPods will be a large part of the upcoming event in September.
But if Apple does quietly release new iPods tonight, then we'll all be really wondering what Apple has up their sleeves for September if it wasn't worth squeezing iPods into that event as well.

That and it seems pretty unlikely that they're planning to release new iPods before the "buy a laptop, get a free iPod Touch" promo ends on Sept. 8th... those who got the old ones would never stop yapping, and those who got the new ones would probably deplete a good chunk of what's already been manufactured.

If I had to hazard a guess, I’d say they might be updating their literature for 10.6.1 before releasing it. It has been less than one full weekday since Snowy was announced, but it will have had to be sent off to the factory before, and they may have quashed some bugs since then.
Luckily, I don’t have to, because these don’t usually last long.

Maybe it's Apple's way of getting attention on a Saturday night.

Well it's certainly working... Maybe Steve just asks them to randomly take the store down now to see what happens.

You can now add Microsoft Office 2008 Home/Student or Full to your Mac, could you always pre-order it with that?

I don't remember that being an option.
I wonder if the exchange support had something to do with that. Not even windows 7 supports exchange out of the box. Maybe?
