We've got a sub for that...
In the UK, iPhone and iPod touch users who are used to hearing Apple's "there's an app for that" tagline in advertisements are now doing a double-take when they go to their nearby Subway sandwich shop. Sharp-eyed TUAW reader Welby McRoberts was accompanying some buddies to Subway for lunch when he noticed that things seemed a little too familiar. As you can see in the photos from Welby's blog that are also in the gallery below, Subway UK is using the similar phrase "We've got a sub for that" in their in-store signage and on employee shirts.
There's no word on whether this campaign will migrate to any of the other 90 countries with Subway franchisees, or if Apple is going to refer to the fabled iTablet as a "Five-Hundred Dollar Foot Long." Chuck and the CIA should be very happy with this new campaign!

you should see the tv adverts.......... actually considering the most played one presently is a man in odd underwear "thinking" hes taking an exercise class when he's actually under the control of a hypnotist in a "working mans club"..... and its enough to put you off your sub... assuming thats not your sort of thing.

I doubt it will spread throughout the world because the "app for that" slogan is not universal.
Perhaps in the UK a hamburger chain will start a "we've got a bap for that" campaign.

Staples used the slogan "Yeah, we've got that" for years before apple did.
This is not the conspiracy you're looking for..

I think even Visine had a campaign "There's a Visine for that" a while ago. Not sure which came first, but I'm guessing Visine.

Actually, phrases like these have probably been around since the very first door-to-door salesmen started wandering the streets to hype things like vacuum cleaners and other products.
If anything, it's more like a recurring fad.
Who knows, maybe Steve Jobs will pop up wearing a turtle neck zoot suit at the next MacWorld event.
