iPhone OS 3.1.2 is out
In just a little under a month after iPhone OS 3.1 was released, Apple has just released an update for the iPhone OS, upgrading it to 3.1.2. This update fixes the widely reported issue where the iPhone would not wake from sleep, and also fixes an issue involving video playback and cellular service. This update is available for the original iPhone, iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS, and the iPod touch.
Update: There's also an carrier settings update (which does not seem to do anything) and an update to the iPhone SDK on the iPhone Dev Center.

resolve issue where you have to purchase an app to re-authorize your iphone after a restart? otherwise the apps crash upon opening?

the carrier settings update lets you do mms you have to restart your iphone to get it to officially work

Grrrr... with all these updates i'm almost about to give up on my jailbreak. ALMOST! :/ Frustrating. Why don't they just post on the update: This will prevent the Palm PRE to sync with Itunes.

This is a firmware update for iPhone OS. It has nothing to do with iTunes Pre syncing.

You did the jailbreak. Don't expect Apple to give damn about your hacking. The rest of us who don't hack our iPhones appreciate Apple producing regular maintenance updates.

That was just a minor update for some issues on the iPod touch. This update applies to both devices, so they just went with 3.1.2.

To all those mentioning the Pre:
This is a firmware update for the iPhone, it has nothing to do with the Pre's (in)ability to sync with iTunes.

I keep getting that 'Wake from Sleep' issue... I had to reset my iPhone to turn it back on so this is much appreciated!
