A little while back we posted about
the unboxing of an Apple job offer, and now here's another unboxing having to do with becoming an Apple employee -- Mac Rumors has shots up of
an unboxing of one of the t-shirt giftboxes recently given to AppleCare call center staff, and once again, even in something that the public was never really supposed to see, this company shows just how much care and attention they put into their design. From the way the t-shirt's folded, with the stark three word design sitting perfectly centered, to the embossed gift note and company stickers, clearly this is a company that believes presentation is important.
In fact, it almost makes me want to go over
to Apple's Jobs site and start looking for myself. Apple, any interest in hiring a witty, sarcastic and cynical blogger? I'll work for peanuts!

I just attended a recruitment seminar for Apple. I got the nicest rejection email I've ever received a few days later. I thought about that Apple job offer post throughout the whole ordeal. Oh well. Maybe next time.

I'm one of the biggest Apple fanboys you'll ever know of, and when I was interviewed at Apple for a job, even *I* felt a slightly overwhelming cult mentality...

Does EVERYTHING Apple makes come with those stickers?

Wow, when I got hired at Apple all I got was a folded t-shirt and a congrats from the other employees. Although that was retail and not a call center.

Wow, you got it easy. After I was hired, all I remember was feeling something sharp against my neck, then somehow waking up in my own bed 12 hours later with a very bad headache. The new t-shirt I found myself wearing was quite comfy, though.

yeah, gotta love those American Apparel shirts lol. What you had happen sounds like standard Apple treatment though ;)

What's with all the pixelation around the letters on the shirt? Photoshop?
But if real, dear god, wow, sad.

google: JPG artifacts

Obviously...but I've spent a good amount of time with photoshop myself. That doesn't look natural.

Even the lighting on the letters doesn't seem to match right with the rest of this pic.

When you look at the original (http://images.macrumors.com/article/2009/10/22/142910-apple_t_shirt_2.jpg), the artifacts aren't apparent anymore.

Wow, you really hate Apple, huh?

uh jpg artifcats and what... You can't believe Apple sends its employees their official work shirt in a nice box once they get to a corporate level tech support job or cares about making them feel welcome?
Jordan said 6:26PM on 10-24-2009
This is nothing against Apple. I myself think it's a little over the top, but I don't care enough to even really care. You guys are trying to turn this into an Apple arguement and thats not my cause here. All I'm saying, is this picture looks photoshoped. The text on the shirt does not look natural.
And as of this comment, I have not yet looked at the original that someone posted. Not everything needs to be a flamewar.

That's pretty funny that you actively avoided clicking on the link.

I noticed that too; looks like the font on the shirt was PS'd. Maybe if I was still a teen I'd consider Apple for a job but retail at my age..... ???

No one at all is going to comment on how this is a "red shirt"? C'mon.. it's RIFE with Star Trek significance and /no/ one is going to say anything.

must be nice.. getting a job @ apple is almost as difficult as getting in with the cia, fbi, nsa, mi6, MoD, etc... if you don't meet their physical outward appearance requirements, trendy appearance.. they (apple) don't hire you..
