SnowChecker will help you make the jump to Snow Leopard
SnowChecker is a free Mac application that does one thing -- it tells you whether or not your applications will run under Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. SnowChecker performs a scan of your hard disk for apps, then compares the list of found apps against compatibility info stored at snowleopard.wikidot.com. It displays the the results, noting which apps are OK, which might have slight compatibility issues, and which will be totally hosed under Snow Leopard. SnowChecker uses a simple green, yellow, red color scheme to pass along the information to you, and often provides quick notes telling you about workarounds or updates that will help get all of your apps working smoothly.
If you're a bit on the shy side when it comes to doing upgrades, SnowChecker can make you feel a lot better about making the jump to Snow Leopard.

And shouldn't that be "couldn't have cared less" rather than "could have cared less" which would imply that they really did care about compatibility?

Is this a bit late? Snow Leopard has been out for 2 months. Most of the compatibility issues have been resolved.

I'm glad I still have one Mac Mini without Snow Leopard. I've had issues with the Mini that I upgraded, including no upgrade driver for my HP Color Laser Jet 2600n, frequent "quit for no apparent reason" with "Preview" and "Mac Mail". Most of the problems have been associated with trying to save scanned photos or documents from "Preview" and then attaching them to my updated "Reunion" application or to emails. The Leister folks have been helpful with suggestions about problems with "Reunion", and I'm glad I have a couple of other mail applications to use when I have to attach documents to emails.
If you have "upgraded" to SL on one computer, hopefully you have another without SL to use as a backup!

It should be Apple producing this software, not a third party. Looks like Microsoft has won on the usability and customer support front once again - they've been doing this for their new OSs for years.

Ah yes... Once again the ignorant assumption that the American way to spell a word is the only way. The one that always gets me is learned and learnt, both perfectly correct.
Triva - Did you know that American Englsh today is much closer to traditional (200 year ago) English than British English is today. Our (I'm American) langauge slowed down it's evolution while British English kept evolving... Always facinates me.

Just because a made up word happens to show up in an online dictionary within the past five years doesn't make it a real word http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/automagically, or even if it is a real word, it doesn't mean it is grammatically correct to use the word.

Case in point, "vote getter", my number one pet peeve of made up, miss used phrases.
You can't "get" votes, you can receive or solicit votes, but can't "get" a vote.
So the phrase that should be used is, "vote recipient"

dive vi. dived or dove, dived, diving.....

I used this to check my Apps' Snow Leopard compatibility. Most of the report was ok, except for one game.
It says Homeworld 2 (1.1.1) is compatible with snow leopard but it doesn't run on my macbook (which runs nicely under Leopard or Tiger)
Any thought or suggestion please let me know.

SnowChecker is a rather sad piece of software. I downloaded it and ran it. It only recognized a very small number of my apps. It id not recognize anything from Adobe CS3,except Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader. It did not recognize anything from MS Office. It did not recognize my version of Toast Titanium. Parallels Desktop
