The gift of love; the gift of recycled Mac and iPhone jewelry
Are you looking for that perfect holiday gift for a loved one? Is that someone special a Mac geek or geekette? If so, then the clever people at PowerBook Medic have a wonderful gift idea for you! They make a living out of repairing old Mac laptops and iPhones, and it's apparent that over the years they've accumulated more than a handful of buttons from machines that need fixing. PowerBook Medic is now making earrings from iPhone home buttons (see photo at right) and the power buttons from aluminum, black, and white MacBooks and MacBook Pros.
These lovely personal accessories can be yours for only US$14.95 per pair, so it's probably a good idea to order a complete set so the recipient doesn't think you're a complete cheapskate.
The company is also giving away 15 pairs of the iPhone earrings to lucky winners. Details of their Twitter-fied contest can be found here.

Handmade by a former Mac Genius. Consider him instead of this.

I'd almost be tempted to pierce my ears for these. Almost.

So you think $14.95 isn't enough for a gift?
you have no idea whatsoever about how much certain people make do you...

Cuff links do sound cool. And the link by hmcnally to the 925works website shows nice work.

I pierced my ears a few years ago and lost one of my earrings a long time ago. Would it look weird for a guy to wear those? They're so cool, but I dunno, lol.

No, it wouldn't look weird at all. Don't let what you think other peoples' perceptions of you are stop you from being the person you are.

Cufflinks are coming next week, as are tie tacks. They were on our list to do, but due to the sheer number of requests we've had for them, we'll be releasing them ahead of schedule.

Great minds think alike! Creative Dexterity has been making Mac themed jewelry for a couple years now. Check out our site for rings, cufflinks and necklaces. We were featured in the April issue of Macworld and we're also included in the book '1000 Ideas For Creative Reuse' which just hit bookstores. Check out our sites:
