Found footage: Maroon 5 rocks the Apple campus

Sure, you may be working 80 hour weeks, sleeping at your desk, and be completely stressed out from working on a series of secret projects, but at least Apple is providing you with free beer and a band on-site to relieve a bit of the stress.

And it's not just any neighborhood garage band (no pun intended) -- it's Maroon 5. The video above, posted by goulartem on YouTube, was one of many posted by Apple workers who attended a company beer bash on Friday, July 9th.

The Apple employees in the crowd seem to be having a great time, with a lot of iPhones being waved around capturing the free mini-concert. See if you can spot what looks like a white iPhone 4 on the right side of the crowd near the front.

Sure, you may be working 80 hour weeks, sleeping at your desk, and be completely stressed out from working on a series of secret...

Am a fan of Jason Mraz's live stuff and this passed weekend got to try out one of my new originals at one of his local haunts in San Diego, Lestat's.

I feel sorry for Apple employees, that band sucks and did a free show at my college. Walked right on by Farrand Field.

I read over your headline so fast I thought it said "Motion 5 Rocks The Apple Campus"...

Then I sadly remembered that Apple has put all pro-level production apps on the back-burner.

Dear TUAW,

For those of us on mobile devices that don't support Flash, and for those of us who actively block Flash to maintain browser stability, please avoid embedding Flash players directly in your articles, or, at a minimum, please provide a direct link to the video, where, e.g., Youtube, probably offers a straight HTML5/H.264 alternative that not only loads faster and plays at a higher quality, is extremely unlikely to crash my browser.

If I want to actually watch a video you've linked in an article, I probably want to watch it at the source, and I don't want to have to load the Flash version just to access its embedded link/source information to do so.

Thanks in advance.

Please change the headline. "Rocks" is not a term that describes Maroon 5 in any way shape or form.

Well looks like Apple has solved the problem of employees getting drunk and leaving their iPhones at the bar. Bring the Bar, Beer and band to Apple campus! :-)

I hope nobody had too many beers and left the white iPhone laying around, whoever finds it might have trouble returning it to Apple.

These beer bashes are a weekly event. Having a big name band is not, but they do get good groups a couple times a year. I attended one with an Apple employee friend and they had bins full of "1984" posters - these featured the woman from the commercial with earbuds photoshopped in place.
