Wil Wright is a native of East Tennessee, where he still lives today. After a three years at the University of Tennessee, Wright left school and lived a split life as a percussion teacher and a touring musician. In 2009, Wright began contributing to various publications. In 2011, Wright was selected (via his work with NYC's  TheMusicSlut.com) for the Virgin Mobile 25 Influencer Summit. In 2011, Wright also started a rap career, writing songs focused on Harry Potter, and would be called "The Greatest Wizard Rapper Alive" by MTV-U.

Wil Wright lives in Knoxville, where he writes a weekly column for Metro Pulse, continues his rap career, and is raising a betta fish.
