Yes, it took about 4 minutes for the download, and then about another 3 minutes for the various restarts to update the Apple TV. This was after I struggled to get the Apple TV to accept my Apple ID and password.
I chose Update Now. Yippeeee!
The glowing progress bar is telling us that the Update is installing. There will be many restarts as well.
No, it's just the standard startup movie for an Apple TV. This must be in ROM or something, since it never changes...
The menus seem to load quicker, but I'm not sure that they're all that much of an improvement over Apple TV 2.0
I did like the fact that Apple TV now shows you what TV shows you haven't watched yet but had downloaded -- like the 2007 Word Series games that the Rockies lost.
